Inside the Creative Chaos of Deathbyproxy

Written by Alexandria Anglade

Deathbyproxy is a music artist and producer who thrives on the unconventional. His creative journey began not from imitation or trend-chasing, but from a deep connection to his own life experiences. “I’m inspired by my own life,” he explains. “I always knew I could make my thoughts musically in a way unique to my influences.” That self-awareness became the core of his artistry, driving him to transform personal reflections into a sound that challenges the limits of genre and expectation.

When it comes to production, Deathbyproxy’s creative process is as spontaneous as it is meticulous. He can craft up to twenty musical ideas in a single sitting, blending and reconstructing them until he finds the perfect balance. “I really go Frankenstein on it,” he says, describing his method of layering, experimenting, and reshaping ideas until the final product captures his exact vision. His process is fearless, guided by instinct and an openness to creative chaos, an approach that reflects his belief in total artistic freedom.

In truth, his style blurs the lines between punk attitude, electronic textures, and experimental soundscapes. Every track is a collision of raw emotion and digital distortion, a sonic mirror of his mindset: unfiltered, honest, and deeply individual. His music draws subtle influence from various genres, yet never conforms to one. Each song is its own world, shaped by what he calls “whatever feels right at the time.”

At the heart of Deathbyproxy’s work lies a powerful message: that authenticity and individuality are worth more than approval. “Anything is possible,” he says, “and you should always be yourself unironically, even if that sounds lame.” This philosophy resonates through his lyrics and production choices, encouraging listeners to embrace imperfection and self-expression without restraint.

However, remaining true to himself has come with challenges. “My shit’s too different and I refuse to compromise,” he admits. His resistance to industry molds can make it difficult to find mainstream recognition, but that same resistance is what sets him apart. Instead of conforming, Deathbyproxy leans into his distinctiveness, creating a lane entirely his own.

Despite the hurdles, he finds immense reward in genuine human connection. “People DM me saying they like my stuff, and then we become online friends,” he says. Those moments of shared appreciation and authenticity remind him that his music reaches people on a personal level, beyond streams or charts.

Looking toward the future, Deathbyproxy envisions more than just success. He wants to inspire a cultural shift. “To shift what’s possible,” he says with confidence. His ultimate goal is the day he sees someone upload a “deathbyproxy type beat” on YouTube. For him, that will be proof that his sound has evolved from self-expression into inspiration for others, cementing his influence in music culture.

Deathbyproxy is not just making songs; he is redefining what it means to stay real in an age of imitation. Through his relentless experimentation, self-awareness, and refusal to compromise, he continues to prove that being unapologetically different is not just possible, it is powerful.
