Born in Brooklyn yet raised in Baldwin, NY Brenton is determined to make it as an artist.
What motivates you as an artist?
"I enjoy the process of creating something from nothing. I also enjoy proving the people who said I was not good at music wrong. Nothing better than putting on a random song or beat and seeing someone’s face scrunch up like “damn this slaps,” followed by a “who is this?” To which I reply, “me.“ The conversation that follows is always dope."
In hindsight of current events, freedom of speech on social media platforms is crucial for artist development. The ability to tell one's story is something that everyone deserves as a creative.
What is something that you want your fans to know about you?
"In the words of Dave Chapelle “I keeps it real.” I’m not one to sugarcoat things, I’m a regular dude who like to create music. I know doesn’t make for a larger-than-life story which is normally what the machine (music industry wants), but I aim to make good music with substance and flare, even if it’s not for everyone."
Overall, staying true to yourself ignites the human genius. Quality production can never be rushed!
