vvslou did not always see music as the destination. Like many first-generation stories rooted in discipline and expectation, his path initially pointed toward stability. After high school, the plan was to attend Florida International University and major in mechanical engineering, following in the footsteps of his father, who studied the same field in Puerto Rico. Music existed, but it was not yet the focus.

That changed during his junior and senior years of high school. As personal challenges surfaced, music became more than a hobby. Selling beats, spending long nights in the studio, and building momentum with collaborators gave vvslou a sense of purpose and escape. What started as a creative outlet quickly turned into something deeper. About a month or two before fall classes were set to begin, he recognized how consumed he had become with music and how real the momentum felt. In a last-minute but defining decision, he pivoted, enrolling at Broward College and committing fully to pursuing music.

When it comes to creation, vvslou is guided by feeling first. The vibe of the beat determines everything that follows, from melodies to lyrical direction. Certain sounds and instruments immediately spark ideas, which is why he often keeps a microphone set up beside him while producing. Recording melodies and concepts in real time allows the song to develop organically, creating a final product that feels cohesive rather than pieced together.

Life experiences sit at the core of his sound. Whether he is moving through something traumatic or celebrating a moment of self-fulfillment, those emotions naturally translate into his beats and songs. The intention is felt without explanation, allowing listeners to connect intuitively with the music rather than being told how to feel.

Asked to define his artistic identity, vvslou chooses three words: creative, entertaining, and relatable. For him, authenticity is the foundation. He believes people gravitate toward music that feels personal and honest, especially when the creator is clearly enjoying the process.

One detail that might surprise listeners is his approach to recording at home. Every session requires a full outfit and getting cleaned up beforehand. The mindset is simple: look good, feel good, make good music. Beat-making, however, has no rules. Inspiration can strike anywhere, whether it is first thing in the morning, during a planned studio session, in the car, or outside.

A dream collaboration for vvslou would be working with Metro Boomin, an artist who played a major role in inspiring his journey. From the hard-hitting drums to the way full projects are executed and later transformed into orchestral arrangements, Metro Boomin represents the level of creative vision vvslou strives toward.
