The Official CeV’s journey into music began when another artist invited her to the studio. The moment she put on the headphones, something clicked and her life as an artist officially started. Though she grew up surrounded by music, playing piano, percussion, and even singing in the choir, she had never rapped or created her own music until that pivotal moment.
Her creative process begins with what she calls the “heart”beat, produced by Mr. Jeyda. From there, she writes her lyrics, often praying for guidance as she shapes her words. Once the vision is clear, she works closely with her producer, INOVASHUN, who brings patience and dedication to transforming her ideas into finished songs.
CeV describes her sound as expansive and versatile. She is drawn to big, orchestrated production and takes inspiration from artists like Kanye West, with his layered, orchestral style, and Don Toliver, with his melodic and atmospheric approach. Her ability to move across different genres reflects her mood and creativity in the moment.
Her music is deeply emotional and tied to her personal experiences. When she feels sadness, her songs take on darker tones, while joy results in brighter, more upbeat tracks. Regardless of mood, her message stays the same: elevate to your highest self. As a kingdom artist, she pushes both herself and her listeners to pursue growth and become the best versions of themselves.
The road has not been without challenges. Learning who to trust with her music and promotion has been one of the toughest parts of her journey. With the crowded music scene and the constant costs of production and promotion, she sometimes questions whether her music is good enough. But she has found strength in trusting her team and building a supportive community.
The most rewarding moment of her career came when her son told her he liked her song. For CeV, that affirmation outweighed streaming numbers or industry benchmarks. Knowing that her music touched someone close to her reminded her that even reaching one heart is enough.
Looking ahead, she envisions scaling and elevating not only her career but also those who join the Crowned Elevation team. Her dream is to create a platform where artists can work safely and freely while pushing their artistry and the Kingdom forward. The dream is big, but she believes God has called her to fulfill it.
