The Life of Vaughn Maxwell

Written by Alexandria Anglade

Hailing from New York, the Buffalo artist Vaughn Maxwell is here with us today to discuss his experiences within the music industry as of late.

Who inspired you to make music?

"My father is my inspiration to make music given the fact that he's a musician himself. He's performed as a background vocalist for a number of credible artists such as Céline Dion, Aretha Franklin, Brian Mcknight, Michael Bolton, and Yolanda Adams.

Introduced to music at such a young age, Vaughn has always been influenced by the arts.

In addition, Vaughn's genre of music can be described as the following...

"Sonically my music has more of a dark appeal as opposed to a jolly & merry feel. Lyrically I'm more vulnerable than most men would. This is an aspect I love to have because it keeps my content in a raw, honest, and real place for the listener to receive. Giving my fans and listeners all of me is everything in my opinion."

In addition, on July 21st, Vaughn introduced his first body of work titled Sudden Changes. The EP contained seven tracks.

How long is your discography?

"This September I also released my first single titled "FOR YOU" and releasing the music video for it very soon! I am truly looking forward to expand on my discography as I continue to embark on this journey of being a musician."
