STORMX began her journey with music in 2020. At the time, she was dating a producer and would sit in studio sessions just enjoying the creative process. Her love for music grew as she started helping rappers with their lyrics.
A few months later, her producer partner made a beat just for her. That night, she blasted it on repeat and by the third listen the lyrics started flowing naturally.
The rush was indescribable. When she recorded her first track in the studio, the producer could not believe it was her debut. From that moment, her path as an artist became clear.
Her creative process is simple yet powerful, relying on good vibes and a melody to spark inspiration.
She describes her sound as raw and friendly pop rap, influenced by artists like Lil Uzi Vert and Juice WRLD. Through her music, STORMX wants to send the message that being weird is cool and that self reflection is just as important.
One challenge she has faced is holding onto music too long in search of perfection. It was not until her team, friends, and family encouraged her to release her songs that she realized people could already relate deeply to her work.
That push helped her see the beauty in her own artistry.
Performing live has been one of the most rewarding experiences in her career. She describes the connection with her audience as feeling like family, a moment of recognition where she knows they truly understand her. One unforgettable highlight was seeing a young boy sing her track “HMO” back to her after a performance.
Looking ahead, STORMX is focused on showing the world who she is and sharing her story through music. She believes a feminine perspective of the hood is needed, and as an artist from Philadelphia, she is determined to give voice to that experience in her own unique way.
