The 2016 SoundCloud era played a pivotal role in shaping SOULSTUCK’s artistic journey. Artists like XXXTentacion, Lil Peep, Juice WRLD, and underground talents such as Oliver Francis showed him the power of carving out a unique sound. Inspired, he began writing his own lyrics while listening to their music.
By 2017, he was committed to songwriting, and in 2020 he took things to the next level by purchasing FL Studio and teaching himself how to mix and master. Over time, he developed a sound of his own and officially debuted with his first release on February 11, 2024.
When it comes to creating, SOULSTUCK thrives on feeling rather than structure. Sometimes he writes, but often he lets the vibe lead him. He might write half a song and freestyle the rest, or freestyle the entire track if the lyrics do not feel right. This approach keeps his music raw and authentic, allowing him to capture the moment in its truest form.
Drawing inspiration from artists like Juice WRLD, Trippie Redd, Lil Uzi, Lil Skies, and Wifisfuneral, SOULSTUCK blends the nostalgic 2016 wave with rock and other genres depending on where his creativity leads. His music carries an empowering message, aiming to uplift listeners in both good and bad times. Whether healing from heartbreak or celebrating life, his lyrics remind fans that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.
For SOULSTUCK, the biggest challenge has been overcoming himself. He believes that negative emotions and attitudes can block progress more than any external obstacle. Yet, every step of the journey has been worth it, especially when it comes to meeting new people, creating art, and growing from every experience.
SOULSTUCK’s vision is to live in a perpetual state of peace, the same peace he feels when making music. In the coming years, he hopes to build an industry-standard studio of his own while continuing to do whatever it takes to live a good life. Fans can already hear his evolving artistry on his latest mixtape with Deezy $ummers, a project that showcases his growth and ambition as an artist.
