Paving the Way with Kerry Gros
Written by Alexandria Anglade
On this beautiful Sunday, we had the joyous opportunity to interview upcoming entrepreneur Kerry Gros and ask him a few questions in regards to his graphic designing career.
How did you get into graphic designing?
In 2020, about a month after the Covid pandemic began, I had a gym accident that led me to step away from my job. I discovered a video by Fuller Moe on how to design clothing and fell down the rabbit hole and haven't looked back since.
2. Where do you find inspiration?
Life to be honest. Art is all around us without even realizing it from the graffiti found on walls to a simple design on a t-shirt. If I'm wanting inspiration outside of those realms, I'll usually get inspiration through Pinterest or Instagram.
3.Where do you see yourself and your art in 5 years?
I'm hoping to have designed for a lot more people. My main goal is to design for the music industry and make clothing you would find at stores like Hot Topic or Spencers and design for bands going on tour.
Truthfully, I'm wanting to be at a point where people EVERYWHERE will wear something I've designed. I think that will be the moment when I know I'm a successful graphic designer and know I made some sort of impact in the merchandising world.
