NBD3 began with the vision of an artist who spent most of his time with a pencil and paper. What started as a childhood way of impressing adults eventually became an outlet for stress and hardships. Like many kids, he dreamed of wearing high-end designer brands inspired by names like Virgil Abloh, Kanye, and Rick Owens. Yet those pieces were often out of reach. That limitation sparked a new idea: to sketch and design clothing himself.
The first step came in high school with a single sample design spelling out “NBDY IS PRFCT” along the back. It resonated with classmates, but the name “NBDY” was already in use elsewhere. After some setbacks and a two-year break, a deeper dive into graphic design reignited the vision. With the skills learned at Brookdale Community College and later at Rutgers-New Brunswick, the brand evolved into NBD3. The “3” symbolizes three stages of life: where you are, where you are going, and the space in between where transformation happens. For the founder, it became personal and intentional.
At its core, NBD3 is not about reinventing clothing but about rejecting the pressure to be someone else. The industry often obsesses over being seen, but NBD3 focuses on being understood. The brand makes clothing for people who know authenticity matters more than trends.
The creative process starts with a feeling rather than a trend. Each piece is carefully considered: fabrics are chosen for substance without heaviness, colors are selected to look natural in any light, and details are crafted to speak quietly but confidently. For example, a scarlet red screen print against black cotton is not just a design choice but a statement.
The message of NBD3 is simple but powerful: authenticity is more magnetic than perfection, and no one needs permission to matter. The clothing is for those who already understand themselves but want to express that confidence intentionally.
The business side of NBD3 reflects its values just as much as the designs. Straightforward return policies, honest size guides, and a rejection of artificial scarcity show a commitment to integrity. The founder insists that numbers should never overshadow authenticity.
Challenges like the NBDY trademark issue could have ended the brand early on, but instead they strengthened its identity.
Today, the logo tells a more personal story. The brand continues to face obstacles such as finding quality manufacturers and building a genuine community, but every step forward deepens its purpose.
Looking ahead, NBD3 plans to expand thoughtfully with accessories and collaborations that carry the same energy. The goal is not to become the biggest brand but the most honest one. For those who believe authenticity is the most powerful statement, NBD3 is more than clothing, it is community, confidence, and connection.
