MiddleChild’s Mission to Inspire and Overcome

Written by Alexandria Anglade

MiddleChild’s journey into music began with inspiration from his father, a songwriter whose passion naturally carried on to him. However, it was the loss of several close people that pushed him to take music seriously and transform it into more than just a passing interest. That turning point ignited his dedication and set him on the path to becoming an artist with something meaningful to share.

When it comes to creating music, MiddleChild finds it hard to explain his process. He describes it as hearing a flow or beat in his head and letting it guide him naturally. This organic approach allows his songs to emerge authentically, reflecting both his emotions and his experiences.

His sound has been shaped by artists such as J. Cole, Kenny Mason, JID, and Smino. In his hometown, people even compare him to a southern J. Cole, a testament to the unique blend of influence and individuality he brings to his music.

At the heart of MiddleChild’s message is reassurance. Through his work, he wants to remind people that life is tough, but it is always possible to make it through. That hope and resilience are woven into the emotions he conveys in each track.

Like many up-and-coming artists, MiddleChild has faced challenges in discovering his sound and surrounding himself with the right people. His solution has been to stay true to his “day ones,” the loyal circle that keeps him grounded and motivated.

One of his most rewarding moments so far was hearing his music play on the radio. Seeing the pride and joy on his mother’s face during that milestone became a defining highlight of his career.

Looking ahead, MiddleChild’s goals are both ambitious and practical. He aspires to reach the top of the industry while also learning every aspect of the craft so that he can remain independent and never have to depend on anyone. With his resilience, talent, and determination, MiddleChild is carving out a future filled with promise and inspiration.
