His creative process is best described as random and organic. “I go with the flow and just let things come to me when I’m sitting there recording at my desk,” Grxviity shares. When it comes to knowing when a song is finished, Grxviity relies on his intuition and the energy of the room. “It just feels right,” he explains. “As I’m recording, there’s an energy that fills the room and it lets me know when I should stop.” When that moment comes, he knows he’s done enough, and the result is usually something he’s proud of—“fire,” as he puts it.
In his music, Grxviity often reflects on his personal journey and the struggle of being constantly counted out. “I was constantly counted out, and now I’m the one they go to for whatever reason,” he says. This sense of proving others wrong drives his music, and it’s something he shares with his listeners, allowing them to connect with his story and growth.
Staying motivated is another key factor in Grxviity’s work ethic. He credits his family and the people around him for keeping him going. “As long as me and my family are still working, I got more work to do,” he affirms. This sense of responsibility keeps him pushing forward, knowing there’s always more to accomplish.
Grxviity has also learned to embrace uncertainty, and his perspective on his career has evolved. “I don’t expect things to go a certain way anymore,” he says. “I’m at a point where I’m doing things and going to places I couldn’t imagine last year.” His growth has come from learning to embrace the process and finding value in every experience, rather than waiting for something to go wrong first. This mindset allows him to stay grounded and focused on what’s ahead.
The most rewarding aspect of his career, according to Grxviity, is being recognized for the hard work he puts in. “Not too many people get that, so I’m definitely blessed to experience it,” he reflects. Despite this recognition, Grxviity remains humble, understanding that his journey is far from over. “Nah, I haven’t made it yet,” he says. “This is just the beginning.” As long as his people are still working, Grxviity believes the job is not done, and there’s much more to come.
