RIQUEYRIQUE has always gravitated toward the language of melody. As a young teenager, he took his first steps in music production, driven by an obsession with sounds and textures from around the globe. He was just 12 or 13 when he attempted to learn the ins and outs of beatmaking, but youthful impatience got the better of him, and he rage-quit, destroying his computer in the process. Despite this early setback, music stayed intertwined with his life. He explored countless genres and connected with different musical cultures worldwide.
Poetry, writing, and literature also played a defining role throughout his youth. By 19, he felt an undeniable pull back into music—this time as a songwriter. He answered what felt like a call, returning to the art form in 2021 with renewed conviction. Even then, he suspected he’d circle back to production. By 2024, he did just that, jumping in wholeheartedly to merge his evolving skills as a lyricist with his long-dormant interest in beatmaking. That blend of poet’s soul and producer’s ear shaped a creative perspective he now fully embraces, continuing a personal journey he describes as beautifully full circle.
RIQUEYRIQUE’s creative process is as fluid as the emotions that spark it. Sometimes a moment of poetry or a personal experience ignites an idea, and the words come first. Other times, a beat will catch his ear, and he’ll mold lyrics around the instrumentation. He describes the interplay between melody and words as an intimate dance—each guiding, interrupting, or supporting the other. Rather than forcing them together, he treats the vocals and beat as two instruments in conversation, pushing and pulling to create something greater than the sum of its parts.
He calls his style a “worldwide sound for the future,” a composite of diverse influences: Hip-Hop, R&B, EDM, Rage, Dancehall, Dembow, Reggaeton, Soca, and more. Artists such as Future, Lil Uzi Vert, XXXTENTACION, Nicki Minaj, Doja Cat, Calvin Harris, Vybz Kartel, Bad Bunny, and Ozuna serve as wellsprings of inspiration. At its core, his music is propelled by vibration and rhythm, which he sees as tools to connect people from all walks of life, transcending boundaries and language barriers.
Part of that global aspiration is weaving history and storytelling into the fabric of his lyrics. He hopes to reflect the modern pulse of various cultures while looking back on where they’ve come from—an approach he believes fosters fellowship and international camaraderie. Through it all, RIQUEYRIQUE remains grounded in the understanding that perseverance is essential. Life’s obstacles may shift and evolve, but he’s convinced that only the will to keep going defines an artist’s true identity. Pain, betrayal, and solitude might knock him back, yet the consistent thread binding him to his art is that creative spirit—a conduit he feels has the power to cross oceans and reach new faces in new places.
One of the high points of his emerging career lies in performing live. Shows, he says, bring about a natural high, a primal interaction with the audience that can never be replicated or repeated exactly the same way. There, on stage, he meets the crowd at the most instinctive level—energy feeding off energy, emotion fueling emotion.
Looking to the future, RIQUEYRIQUE envisions himself as both a friend and a teacher to people across the globe, using language, culture, and art to inspire dialogue and understanding. Whether it’s engaging fans beyond the music or shaping experiences that leave a lasting impact, he aims to uplift communities and open pathways for meaningful connections. As the years pass, he hopes that his sound—both fiercely modern and intimately global—will become the soundtrack to shared memories, uniting what he calls the “Godfamily” in a celebration of life and collective joy.
