EUPHORIA: Fashion as a Balance of Highs and Lows

Written by Alexandria Anglade

EUPHORIA is a brand born out of passion, experimentation, and a deep love for design. The founder first became interested in fashion during high school, inspired by visionaries like Virgil Abloh, Kanye West, Yohji Yamamoto, Jerry Lorenzo, and Heron Preston. Around the same time, they were learning graphic design and Photoshop, which naturally translated into experimenting with clothing. What started as heat-pressed graphics on shirts made just for fun eventually evolved into a brand worth showcasing. With confidence in their designs, they launched EUPHORIA on Instagram and moved to higher quality production methods like screen printing and DTG.

The name EUPHORIA reflects the fleeting but powerful feeling of joy, a state the designer values deeply. Over time, the brand’s influences expanded to include horror, motorsports, and industrial technology. Retro futuristic aesthetics inspired by films like ALIEN play a big role in shaping the brand’s design language, blending nostalgia with futuristic visions. Pixelated graphics and nods to old technology have become signature elements in EUPHORIA pieces.

At its core, EUPHORIA represents personal expression. The designer creates clothing they want to wear, pieces that portray both the highs and lows of life. While pulling inspiration from streetwear and skate culture, the brand maintains a focus on detail and craft often found in high fashion. Each piece includes hand done touches, whether through paint, custom sewn tags, or unique finishing techniques. This approach makes every garment feel personal and distinct, setting EUPHORIA apart in a crowded fashion industry.

The creative process usually begins in Photoshop, where logos and graphics are built out from scratch or adapted from reference images. From there, designs are either manufactured or applied using 3D printed stencils for spray painting. Each garment then receives individual hand painted details, ranging from splatter to rolled textures. Custom tags, painted and sewn by hand, bring another layer of uniqueness to every release.

EUPHORIA’s message is about balance, the idea that euphoria is only meaningful when contrasted with darker moments. Light and happy elements are blended with horror inspired designs, reflecting the duality of human experience. The name symbolizes life’s highs, while the darker details acknowledge its lows.

Running a small clothing brand has its challenges, especially in such a competitive and oversaturated space. Keeping inventory is costly, and since each piece is unique, print on demand was not an option. Limited drops are often necessary to balance creativity with business demands. But the founder’s love for fashion and commitment to pushing boundaries fuel the brand’s growth and resilience.

Looking ahead, EUPHORIA aims to expand with physical stores in cities like New York or Toronto and bring its vision to the runway. Collaborating with the very designers who sparked the journey remains a dream goal. In the near future, the brand is focused on securing booths at events like the Lucky Flea in Rochester and organizing pop ups to connect directly with people who share the same love for unique, detail rich fashion.

EUPHORIA is more than just clothing, it is a reflection of the human experience, balancing beauty and darkness, nostalgia and futurism, individuality and shared culture.
