For rising artist Daray, music has never been just a hobby—it’s been a lifeline. Introduced to music by his father at a young age, he quickly found it to be more than background noise. “Music became an escape for me early,” he says, reflecting on the early days of his journey. Daray’s creative process has shifted with his growth. “I used to write every song,” he shares, “but now I punch in a lot more. His songs—often drawn from raw, real-life experiences—are reflections of his emotional spectrum. “The message always depends on my mood. I might cry and laugh on the same track,” he explains. That emotional honesty resonates deeply with fans, offering a sense of connection that’s both cathartic and empowering.
Still, the journey hasn’t been without obstacles. “The biggest challenge I’ve faced would be expecting support from certain people,” Daray admits. The lesson? Letting go of the need for validation and focusing on his path. “I had to realize I’m not entitled to anyone’s support. That mindset changed everything.”
Despite the hurdles, his music has reached listeners in places he’s never stepped foot—proof that authenticity travels far. “Sharing my art and doing what other artists did for me is probably the most rewarding part,” he reflects.
Looking ahead, Daray is locked in. “Musically, I just want to stay consistent. This is the most focused I’ve been.” But beyond the music, he’s equally committed to inner growth. “I want to focus more on my mental health. I want to put others in positions to win, but I can’t do that with a weak mind.”
