Building From Experience: ninoprime’s Artistic Rise

Written by Alexandria Anglade

ninoprime’s relationship with music began early. At just five years old, sound already felt natural to him, but stepping into a studio did not happen until much later. When he finally did, at age twenty, the passion was there, but the confidence was not. He created music quietly, keeping it to himself out of fear of how it might be received.

That hesitation shifted after a life-changing loss. When his aunt passed away from breast cancer, one of the last things she shared with him stayed with him deeply: life can change in an instant, so you have to pursue what truly makes you happy. From that moment forward, music stopped being something he hid and became something he committed to fully.

In the studio, ninoprime’s process is guided by instinct and emotion. Melodies usually come first, built through humming and mumbling until one feels undeniable. From there, everything unfolds naturally. Sometimes inspiration strikes unexpectedly with a single bar, recorded quickly on his phone, followed by an immediate trip to the studio to shape a full record around that moment. The process stays fluid, unforced, and true to how the music feels in real time.

Lyrically, ninoprime speaks only from lived experience. Music is where he says what he does not always say out loud. Rather than over-explaining or performing for an audience, he uses sound as an outlet to process life, emotions, and growth. That honesty is at the core of his artistry and makes each track feel personal and grounded.

He describes his artistic identity in three words: versatile, expressive, and storyteller. No matter the genre, storytelling remains central to his work. He is unafraid to lean into melody, texture, and emotion, using his voice as ear candy while still communicating depth and meaning. Starting with a classic boom bap foundation, he gradually evolved, blending his rapping with melodic expression to create a sound that feels both reflective and dynamic.

One detail that surprises many listeners is how spontaneous his creative process really is. ninoprime does not write lyrics down at all. Everything is created on the fly, often recorded alone during late-night sessions when distractions fade and creativity feels most focused. Those quiet hours allow him to fully lock in and trust his instincts.

ninoprime measures his progress through confidence and consistency rather than numbers. The fear that once kept his music private no longer exists, replaced by pride in his craft and comfort in sharing it. Every session and performance reinforces his belief in his abilities. He sees collaboration as essential, building meaningful creative relationships that push everyone involved forward. Growth, for him, is about showing up fully and continuing to evolve with intention.
